Morgan and Chad, San Antonio
Dallas couple Morgan and Chad desired to celebrate their love in the bride’s hometown of San Antonio, Texas, a city brimming with vibrant culture and a fun-loving spirit. Our team at Emily Clarke Events brought their dreams to life with an elegant ceremony at University United Methodist Church and a lively reception at La Cantera Resort and Spa, a venue that showcases San Antonio’s rustic Texas beauty in a sophisticated space.
To compliment navy blue bridesmaids dresses and a corresponding color scheme of coral, gold, lime, white and pink, large green wreaths tied with white ribbons adorned the church doors. Matching mini wreaths hung from each pew. Morgan’s family collects blue and white ceramics, so pieces in matching patterns were used throughout the wedding details, beginning with the large planters at the ceremony altar.
Tablecloths of blue and white floral gracefully adorned the reception tables, accented with gold candles, small vases, and tall gold stands holding copious florals. We also created custom vinyl screens in the blue and white pattern of their ceramics to serve as a backdrop for the bar area and personalized cups with the couples’ hashtag “Loco for Lackey.” Adorable donkey piñatas held signs describing custom drinks: the “Morg Arita” and the “Lackey Iced Tea.” To bring a splash of color to an outdoor seating area, ribbons in assorted colors were hung from the ceiling.
With a mariachi band to set the tone of the party, guests danced the night away under an ivy-covered wall displaying the couple’s custom monogram that was hand-drawn by the groom. The monogram also adorned their invitations and the church aisle runner.
Our love for Morgan and Chad only grew as they allowed our team the privilege of making their wedding all they hoped for and more!
